Meet the People Behind The Institute

Led by experience, driven by purpose

At the Psychosocial Safety and Leadership Institute, we believe that safe, healthy and connected workplaces are the foundation of thriving teams and organisations.

Founded by Dr. Caroline Howe and Nicole Turnbull, the Institute was created to fill a critical gap in workplace psychosocial safety - providing leaders, HR and WHS professionals, and workers with the tools, knowledge and community needed to drive real change.

PSYCHOSOCIAL SAFETY & LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Why We Exist

Over the years, we’ve worked with incredible clients and met people who are keen to learn more about psychosocial safety but struggle to find practical, ongoing support. Many workplace safety programs focus on compliance but fail to build the connection, belonging and shared learning that truly drive lasting cultural change.

The Institute is our answer to that gap. We’re here to do things differently.

Building Community

The Institute is not just a training organisation - it’s a community. Through our membership, we provide:

  • A network of like-minded professionals - because solving psychosocial risks is a team effort

  • Incredible speakers, workshops and events - where learning is engaging, relevant and fun

  • Practical tools and resources - so you can take action with confidence

  • A space for open conversation - because sharing experiences helps everyone grow

  • A commitment to real change - we're here to help workplaces move beyond awareness into action.
